AWAKENING DREAMS II

Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Rajaa Bint Talal, Jodar Artistry is hosting the artworks of a group of female artists in the second edition of “Awakening Dreams”.
The artists Reem Khader, Shereen AlOuran, Raida Shahin, Amal Sobeh, Dalia Ali, and Rana Safadi, came together this October, the breast cancer awareness month, to support Jordan Breast Cancer Program in their noble cause. 40% of sale proceeds will be donated to provide life-saving screening services for Jordanian women in underserved areas.
The lucidity of each artist’s dreams, artworks, and figures, quietly addresses the existentialism and the fragile nature of our lives and selves. Is it a state of false awakening? Can a dream as convincing as reality? Who was this person who I saw in my dream? What’s beyond awakening?
“It’s all about the vivid dream that awakens you.” explains Shahin, “just like a dreamer, the artist gains some amount of control over the characters, narrative, and environment of their artworks.”
The artworks, oil on canvases, and mixed media, all mirror the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence captured in the exhibition’s title.
The exhibition will be held on Tuesday, October 13th, and runs till the end of October.

برعاية صاحبة السمو الملكي اﻷميرة رجاء بنت طلال، يقيم جاليري جودار معرضاً فنياً لمجموعة من الفنانات ضمن معرض صحوة الأحلام في نسخته الثانية.
الفنانات ريم خضر، شيرين العوران، رائدة شاهين، أمل صبح، داليا علي ورنا الصفدي، يجتمعن في اكتوبر، شهر التوعية بمرض سرطان الثدي، لدعم البرنامج الأردني لسرطان الثدي حيث سيتم توجيه 40% من المبيعات لإجراء فحوصات كشف مبكر عن سرطان الثدي للسيدات الأقل حظاً في الأردن.
وضوح احلام وأعمال وشخوص هذه الفنانات تناقش الوجودية والطبيعة الهشة لحيواتنا وأنفسنا. هل هي حالة من الصحو الكاذب؟ هل يمكن للحلم أن يكون مقنعاً لدرجة الحقيقة؟ من هذا الشخص الذي رأيته في أحلامي؟ وماذا بعد الصحو؟
“إنها الأحلام التي توقظك” تقول رائدة شاهين إحدى الفنانات المشاركات، “وكما الحالم، للفنان سطوة ما على شخوص وبيئة أعماله”.
أعمال المعرض التي تتنوع بين الزيت على القماش والمواد المختلفة، جميعها تعكس الطبيعة الأساسية للمعرفة، للحقيقة وللوجوديية التي تتلخص في عنوان المعرض.
سيقام المعرض يوم الثلاثاء 13 تشرين الأول ويستمر إلى نهاية الشهر.
