Contemporary Jordanian artist Noura Masri is a leading painter who continues to inspire fashion designers, make up artists, furniture designers, and more. In 2007 Noura donated “Crocodile Playing Tennis”, a piece created for charity and auctioned at Lacoste in collaboration with Make-A-Wish-Foundation. In May 2008, she also donated pieces of her artwork auctioned to benefit Little Wings Foundation, a non-profit organisation, to help children with deformities get medical aid. Furthermore, Noura has also donated some of her paintings to help children with special needs. In April 2013, Noura was invited to take part in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and was selected as a board member and part of the ADIBF professional programme speakers to deliver a talk. She has also taught kids, adults, high profiles, and students with special needs and hosted events with the aim to further expose their talents. Noura received invitations from schools, universities, and museums to conduct talks, hold workshops, and deliver speeches. Most recently, in Feb. 2016, Noura received an invitation to represent Jordan at UNESCO Paris in an event in celebration of the baptismal site “Bethany Beyond the Jordan” (Al-Maghtas) being added to UNESCO World Heritage List, in July 2015. Noura continues to unite and bridge cultures through art, support young talents in the arts in the Arab world and region; and promote peace, benefit health and children in need.
