Sarah Richani, originally from Lebanon, is a full-time artist based in Zurich, Switzerland, since 2018. She works with mixed media including collage techniques, textural pastes, metal erosion and uses oil, gouache or acrylic paint on canvas or cardboard. In her art, she tackles topics related to philosophy, psychology, and society. She graduated in Fine Arts and Interior Design with distinction from the American University of Science and Technology in Beirut, Lebanon. Before becoming a full-time artist, Sarah worked as a designer for the national NGO Society for Protecting Nature in Lebanon (SPNL), which among many environmental missions also promotes sustainable use of resources. One of her main tasks was to support women to create their own products and designs from recyclable materials. She also worked as an art teacher at the Lebanon High School (LHS), where she not only inspired young students with many exciting art projects but was also responsible for designing various school events.
